aqueous: North Lakes Park to premiere October 23, 2021

aqueous is a one-hour site-specific performance at the North Lakes Park retention pond. The dance happens on and around the pond, with the audience moving as they witness. The performance aims to cultivate the attention of audience members to the sources and locations of water around us, including its seasonal, geologic, and geographic abundance and scarcity.

  • When: October 23, 2021,

    • Sunrise performance: 7:30am

    • Sunset performance: 6pm

  • Where: North Lakes Park retention pond #16, Denton, Texas

  • Cost: free

Close-toed shoes are recommended. Audience members should be able to maintain social distancing while witnessing the piece, but masks are strongly recommended for times when that might not be possible.

aqueous was created as part of the NatureMoves Dancing on the Edge facilitator training program. The development of the piece was supported by the Texas Woman's University Department of Dance. These performances are supported in part by a microgrant from the Greater Denton Arts Council.
